March was a great month for IT leadership moves across the United States, with new CIOs, CISOs and VPs being named at some of the largest and most recognizable companies.

Let’s take a moment to recap.

In response to multiple highly publicized information security instances, Yahoo! has named NSA opponent, Alex Stamos to fill the CISO position which has been vacant for over a year. Coca-Cola Refreshments CIO, Thomas Miller, has moved to the Health Insurance industry, now leading WellPoint’s IT department. Miller, who was responsible for leading consumer-facing technologies for the consumer products company, will bring his expertise to WellPoint’s mobility, data mining, and social media initiatives. Jason Eskew has been named Chief Information Officer for the Leisure & Entertainment Group of iconic brands company Jarden. Jason brings his knowledge of mergers and acquisitions from his time as Division CIO at MeadWestvaco Consumer and Office Products making him a natural choice for Jarden, a company known for their aggressive mergers and acquisitions strategy.
