GoDaddy Recruits New CIO and Gears up for International IT Industry Expansion
GoDaddy is causing some serious waves in the IT industry and we want to let you in on a little secret. Are you ready? They want to hear from you.
In the last year GoDaddy has tripled the size of its San Francisco-area office, and expanded to a new space in Kirkland, Washington. They’ve hired top technology execs from IT industry leaders such as Cisco, Google, Yahoo, eBay and AT&T. They are preparing to expand their European operations with the introduction of a European customer care center this year to provide customer service in 14 European languages. And most recently, GoDaddy has named former Microsoft data center and cloud computing veteran Arne Josefsberg as Chief Information Officer & Chief Infrastructure Officer.
GoDaddy is reevaluating every level of operation and infrastructure within the company, and they’re waiting to hear from you. As GoDaddy evolves, you are given a golden hour of opportunity to make a case for your product or service.
Prior to joining GoDaddy, Josefsberg served most recently as Chief Technology Officer for ServiceNow where he was responsible for leading continued improvements to the ServiceNow Platform and leveraging expansion of its cloud strategy. Before that he held various positions with Microsoft for over a quarter of a century.
According to GoDaddy, at Microsoft Josefsberg built and operated one of the world’s largest infrastructures in the IT industry and has a reputation as a “strategic visionary and innovator”. Josefsberg holds a Master of Science Degree in Physics from the Lund Institute of Technology in Sweden.
“Our vision here is to really become not only a market leader but also a technology leader,” Josefsberg said. “We’re going to build a global, very large, scalable infrastructure.”
As GoDaddy expands internationally and strengthens its cloud services they will be seeking software, hardware, vision and IT industry insight to help their transition and growth go smoothly.
We recently surveyed CIOs who had been in their new position less than six months. Results showed that 25% of them spent over $1 Million and 71% of those IT leaders did so in the first three months in their new position.
So as Josefsberg works to build a highly scalable, highly available and secure cloud infrastructure for the company, you can help. Reach out to IT decision makers at GoDaddy. Show them what your company has to offer. They’re waiting to hear from you.
