We’re on top of tracking the most important, and up-to-date, leadership moves happening throughout the IT industry – and we want you to know about them. These changes in leadership are creating a huge opportunity for change and growth within the IT department. Now is the time for you to reach out and have a conversation about your product or service. Don’t let another opportunity pass you by.

Leadership Changes Come From Need

Last week Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America named Dave Stacy Chief Information Security Officer & Senior Director of IT Controls and Risk Management. Since 2011 Stacy has served as Senior Manager of Information Technology where he specialized in leading identity and access management and network security. In his new position, Stacy will lead IT risk management, controls and security strategic planning to ensure consistency throughout the IT department and the entire organization. Stacy will be responsible for protecting the company’s information assets and technology. He will now report to Allianz Life Chief Information Officer, Jeff Palm.

Palm believes that Stacy has great potential to protect and grow the IT department within Allianz Life. “Allianz Life delivers great results for the customer by protecting the promises we make to them,” said Palm. “Dave’s proven experience will help us maintain our risk management and IT security priorities to guard information that is so important to our business.”

Leadership Change Creates Opportunity

As an Allianz Life veteran, Stacy will be expected to continue providing security and access management across IT and throughout the Minneapolis-based company. In particular, by administering company firewalls, data loss prevention technologies and coordinated incident management.

Stacy has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. He also holds Master of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

With over 30 years of experience, Stacy is an industry expert in IT security and risk management. Prior to joining Allianz Life in 2011, Stacy was the owner and principal consultant of D. W. Stacy & Associates in Blaine, Minnesota from 2009 to 2011. There he led the implementation of fraud detection software to enhance information security for a twin-cities based healthcare company. Stacy also served in various roles at Thrivent Financial, St. Jude Medical, Guidant Corp, UNUM Corp, and Bell Atlantic Network Services.

Increase Your Good Leads

We recently surveyed CIOs who had been in their new position for less than six months. Results showed that 25% of them spent over $1 million, and 71% of those IT leaders did so in the first three months of their new position. So while Stacy works to provide identity/access management and network security, you’re given the opportunity to help. Make the call, and make the case for your product or service. We’ll provide your sales team with the most recent, and most important IT leadership changes to increase the quantity of good leads they’re following. After all, shouldn’t all your leads be good leads?
