Last week, Thomas B. Mangas joined Starwood Hotels as Chief Financial Officer. Effective September 29th, Mangas reports to Chief Executive Officer, Frits van Paasschen.
Starwood Hotels has been aggressively expanding across the globe, with a new hotel planned for 2015 in Nigeria and the recent announcement that the global headquarters will be relocated from the United States to India for a month-long immersion. Starwood Hotels has already signed seven new deals in multiple cities across India. The company successfully relocated to China in 2011 and Dubai in 2013 in order to develop relationships and a global culture to support growth in key markets.

Mangas joins Starwood Hotels from Armstrong Floor Products, where he served as EVP and Chief Executive Officer. In this role, Mangas was responsible for finance, investor relations, information technology, and global business services. He also gained significant global experience in a previous role at P&G where he led a global team of over 1,300 people.
