Philip Fasano – Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Philip joined AIG in September of 2014 leaving his role as Chief Information Officer at Kaiser Permanente. He has extensive experience, is a proven leader in the information technology field, and has served as Chief Information Officer at several high-profile financial services firms over the course of his 30-year career.

At AIG Philip is responsible for oversight of the company’s global information technology, including reviewing and updating technology systems and platforms, along with data management and security.

Prior to working for Kaiser Permanente, he founded Capital Sourcing Group in 2005, a company focused on providing strategic advice, and consulting services to the Fortune 500 and the Department of Homeland Security. In addition, he has served in IT leadership roles at Capital One Financial, JP Morgan Chase, Deutsche Financial Services, Bankers Trust, among other companies.

This year, Philip and his team have been working on the following initiatives:

  • Ongoing initiatives related to a Microsoft Windows 7 migration project. The company in the midst of decommissioning obsolete Windows XP-based devices.
  • Evaluation of solutions to support projects related to multi-factor identification.
  • Planning strategies focused on the development of digital applications across web and mobile channels, including integrations with device sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
  • Evaluation of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure solutions to support initiatives focused on cloud based security efforts.
