RainKing’s MS Dynamics configuration allows you to choose the “Lead Source Code” being populated in your CRM when pushing records from RainKing into your CRM. Adding the Lead Source Code to each record being pushed from RainKing to your MS Dynamics will allow you to track RainKing influence on your records.

Steps to Setup:

First, in Dynamics CRM under Settings >> Customizations >> Customize the System >> Entities >> Leads >> Fields find the field for Lead Source Code and open that to view Lead Sources:

If you don’t already have an Option for RainKing, click the green + sign to add a new Option. Label this Option ‘RainKing’:

Save this Option and make sure to Publish All Customizations:

Once customizations are published go to RainKing’s Data Connector Setup under Connectors >> Microsoft Dynamics >> Data Connector Setup tab and scroll down on the Leads tab to the Source Tracking section. For Lead Source 1 select to map to the field leadsourcecode, push the icon next to that field and choose the “RainKing” option from your picklist of available Lead Sources:

After setting the mapping, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select to Validate Map, Test Map, and Save Map:

Then scroll back up to the top of the page and change the map from “Inactive” to “Active”:

Once the mappings are set to “Active”, select the “My RainKing” tab on the top-left of the main navigation, then select the “People” tab and select to send a test Lead to your Dynamics CRM:

Push the test record and once it’s in your Dynamics CRM, confirm that the Lead Source is RainKing:
