Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security system that requires more than one method of authentication from independent categories of credentials to verify the user’s identity for a login or other transaction.
Why do we have it?
MFA is in place to ensure license security for our users. You can register up to 5 devices (laptop, tablet, phone, etc.) per license. Every time you register a new device it will ask you for a new access code. You shouldn’t be prompted to register a device again unless you are using a different computer or internet browser.
If you are using the same browser but are still being prompted to re-register your device please check the following and let us know. This will ensure that we are able to get you up and running with RainKing as soon as possible.
These support questions will be asked to see why there may be issues:
- What browser are you currently using? Chrome is our preferred browser and typically has the best performance with our system.
- Did you clear your browser’s cache and cookies, or does your browser automatically delete your cache and cookies when you close it? This can cause issues of re-registration.
- Do you have an Extension installed on your browser that deletes your cache and cookies when you close it? This can also cause issues of re-registration.
- Are you using an “Incognito” window on Google Chrome?
