Company added more than 500 customers in 2013, and plans to double its sales force in Q1 to meet demand
VANCOUVER, Wash., January 21, 2014 – DiscoverOrg, a three-time Inc. 500 company and provider of information technology marketing and sales intelligence tools used by top IT vendors, announced today its 2013 revenue was 157% of 2012, while profits were 146% of the prior year. The company’s headcount also increased 40% during the year, to 144.
These increases were driven by the addition of more than 520 new customers as demand has risen dramatically for DiscoverOrg’s highly accurate data and powerful IT sales intelligence solutions. To address this growing demand, the company is looking to double the size of its sales force in Q1.
In particular, DiscoverOrg finished out the year strong, adding 161 new customers in Q4 representing a contract value of $7 million. This brings the company’s total customer count to more than 1,000.
To address this demand and meet the needs of its customers, DiscoverOrg also made great strides in 2013 in terms of product innovation and advancement:
- It increased the percentage of direct dial numbers in its database by nearly 4 points, to 95.5%, the highest rate in the industry
- It is now identifying more than 1,000 Triggers per week at organizations listed in the database, an increase of 180% year-over-year. These scoops, which send email alerts to DiscoverOrg customers that identify buying signals at prospect firms, help sales reps seize opportunities immediately while presenting targeted and timely solutions.
- DiscoverOrg for SalesForce 3.0 allows sales reps to instantly transfer any record as a lead or contact into the Salesforce platform. While the connector transfers data, it simultaneously searches for and eliminates any duplicate records in both leads and contacts.
Building on its rapid growth and burgeoning demand, DiscoverOrg also expanded its sales operations into the United Kingdom market in 2013.
