Gardiner to focus on establishing benchmarks and streamlining operations in his new role

Vancouver, Wash. April 14, 2015  DiscoverOrg (www.discoverorg.com), the leading marketing and sales intelligence solution, has appointed John Gardiner as the company’s chief financial officer.

Gardiner brings more than 20 years of financial and strategy experience in global, high-growth SaaS-based technology businesses to his role at DiscoverOrg.

Previously, Gardiner served as chief financial officer at SmartFocus, where he was responsible for the completion and integration of multiple company acquisitions. Before joining SmartFocus, Gardiner was chief financial officer and chief strategy officer at SirsiDynix. During his ten-year tenure at SirsiDynix, Gardiner’s leadership contributed to the doubling of the company’s market value and tripling of the company’s operating margins. Gardiner also spearheaded the expansion of the company’s Asia operations.

He will lead the team to establish benchmarks, streamline operations and guide the growth of the organization. Gardiner will also serve as a key partner to DiscoverOrg’s executive leaders from both an operations and a financial standpoint.

Gardiner holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida.
